THINGS TO CONSIDER?
The very first thing you need to figure out is where the final destination is going to be for your brand new rowing machine? If you have not had your new rower delivered yet make sure the delivery crew drops it where it is supposed to go in whatever room you decide. Please do not have them drop it off in the garage or anywhere else you do not plan on using it.
The second thing to consider is what you want to keep underneath the rowing machine. If the room the rower is going in has carpet, I would say this is ok as a final flooring surface. But if you have any type of hard surface such as; hardwood, tile, laminate, vinyl plank, concrete, etc. I would suggest using a large yoga mat suited for gym equipment. Or have some gym foam pads to put under the rowing machine. I highly suggest using some sort of padding for hard floors to protect them from getting scratched and damaged.
A couple of different kinds of rowers out there range from the classic wood frame water rower to simple cable and metal frame, to high end heavy duty folding frame with a TV screen display.
If you have one of the classic wood framed water rowers. It is suggested in the instructions to change out the water every once in a while to not allow any algae to form. Also the instructions it does suggest to use water purification tablets. To help keep the water inside fresh and clean.
Like any other piece of exercise equipment always use common sense and be careful around any moving parts to avoid pinching and getting yourself injured.
MY ROWER CAME DAMAGED OR HAS MISSING PARTS?
First, relax and breathe…This happens a lot more than you think. Remember your product has gone through so many different phases in its life cycle.
The product starts off as raw materials, then gets manufactured somewhere, then gets packaged and stored at some warehouse/location. Then eventually you order it online or at the store. Finally, it gets put on a delivery vehicle and dropped at your doorstep.
A lot of moving parts are involved with this entire process. Sometimes quality control has bad days, and people make mistakes. I've seen where the product and box are damaged. This could've been during shipping. I've seen where hardware or parts are missing, which means it failed a QC test.
At the end of the day though, if you ordered the ROWING MACHINE online from a major company. Most of the time as long as you reach back out to the company quickly. They will send you the replacement or damaged product or pieces for free. And I will always 100% let you know if something is damaged or missing before I start building.
And if your product did end up having a damaged or missing part. Plan for at least a couple of weeks or longer for the manufacturer to fulfill the replacement order. Especially nowadays after the pandemic, everything will take longer than usual. Having realistic expectations will go a long way.
