THINGS TO CONSIDER?
The first thing to make sure you figure out is if you have a gas grill is it portable or hardwired. Portable means you just hook up a standard 20LB propane tank you'd find at any gas station or hardware store. Or if your house has a fixed built-in natural gas line with the shutoff valve.
Once you determine this. If it is a portable gas grill make sure you have a brand new full tank ready to use after the assembly is complete.
I have on multiple occasions run into several issues on the Jobsite while putting together these portable gas grills.
One of the times the ignitor device in the grill was broken and malfunctioning so the grill never operated correctly.
If you have the pellet wood-style grill. Just make sure to order some extra bags of pellets to have them ready to go as well.
MY GRILL CAME DAMAGED OR IS MISSING PARTS?
First, relax and breathe…This happens a lot more than you think. Remember your BBQ GRILL has gone through so many different phases in its life cycle.
The product starts as raw materials, then gets manufactured somewhere, then gets packaged and stored at some warehouse/location. Then eventually you order it online or at the store. Finally, it gets put on a delivery vehicle and dropped at your doorstep.
A lot of moving parts are involved with this entire process. Sometimes quality control has bad days, and people make mistakes. I've seen where the product and box are damaged. This could've been during shipping. At the end of the day though, if you ordered the BBQ GRILL online. Most of the time as long as you reach back out to the company quickly. They will send you the replacement or damaged product or pieces for free. And I will always 100% let you know if something is damaged or missing before I start building.
And if your GRILL did end up having damaged or missing parts. Plan for at least a couple of weeks or longer for the manufacturer to fulfill the replacement order. Especially nowadays after the pandemic, everything will take longer than usual. Having realistic expectations will go a long way.
