WHAT TOOLS DO I NEED TO ASSEMBLE THE TV STAND?

For the vast majority of this type of project. Basic hand tools and a cordless drill will be more than enough to get you thru. Think of things like; screwdriver's phillips/flathead, plastic/rubber mallet, hammer, ratchet and socket sets, pliers, tape measure, allen/hex wrenches, adjustable wrench, and a drill with drill bits. A really helpful tool, not required but when working alone like myself is a quick-release bar clamp.

Since I work alone and I don't have someone to hold a piece of wood for me while I secure the two adjoining parts. I use my quick-release bar clamps to do that work for me. Another helpful tool to have is a 2ft or 4ft level. If your TV Stand has leveling feet on the bottom, and some do. This assures you can have it perfectly level for your TV to sit on afterward.

Also, the other really important tool to have while building any TV Stand is a bright LED flashlight. Trust me your eyes and sanity will thank you later. You don't want to keep dropping screws and missing the holes every time working in darkness. It's not fun and your frustration level will shoot thru the roof!

TV STAND ASSEMBLY THINGS TO CONSIDER?

One of the main issues I'd first think about before even ordering the TV Stand. Is to decide how big of a TV you plan on having sit there. Obviously, you don't want to put an 85" TV on a 2 ft TV Stand. Also, do you plan on having a gaming console, Cable TV box, soundbar, or any other devices on top or inside the TV Stand?

I notice a lot of people like to put some kind of decorations or books on top of the TV Stand. Most people will usually have a Cable TV box from the provider and have it sit on top of the TV Stand. Other people like to keep all their devices inside to conceal all the messy wires. A lot of these TV Stands have holes in the back to run wires thru. And they usually have doors and/or drawers with adjustable shelves inside the TV Stand.

So you will have a lot of different options for organizing your Cable Box, soundbar, gaming console, or whatever else you intend on putting inside the TV Stand.

As far what style or type of TV Stand you plan on buying. It's totally up to you aesthetic look-wise. But just remember a lot of the products out there for furniture from these major companies are made using MDF/Particle Board materials and NOT real wood anymore. So if your budget allows always look for a product that's made of REAL wood. Look at other customer reviews when ordering anything online. And see any customer pictures if there are any?

MY TV STAND HAS DAMAGE OR HAS MISSING PARTS?

First, relax and breatheā€¦This happens a lot more than you think. Remember your piece of furniture has gone through so many different phases in its life cycle.

The product starts off somewhere, then gets fabricated somewhere, then gets packaged and stored at some warehouse/location. Then eventually you order it online or at the store. Finally, it gets put on a delivery vehicle and dropped at your doorstep.

A lot of moving parts are involved with this entire process. Sometimes quality control has bad days, and people make mistakes. I've seen where the product and box are damaged. This could've been during shipping. I've seen where hardware or parts are missing, which means it failed a QC test. Even worse is I've run across MDF [which is fake wood] damaged and they either touch up painted or edge banded onto a damaged piece and still shipped it.

At the end of the day though, if you ordered the TV Stand online from a major company. Most of the time as long as you reach back out to the company quickly. They will send you the replacement or damaged product or pieces for free. And I will always 100% let you know if something is damaged or missing before I start building the TV Stand.

And if your TV Stand did end up having a damaged or missing part. Plan for at least a couple of weeks or longer for the manufacturer to fulfill the replacement order. Especially nowadays after the pandemic, everything will take longer than usual. Having realistic expectations will go a long way.
